Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class 798 rail bus motor car and class 998 rail bus control car. Original crimson paint scheme. Motor car road number 798 666-4, control car road number 998 660-5. The units look as they did during the early 1970s.

Model: The motor car has an mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound and light functions. It also has a controlled high-performance motor. Two driven axles. Traction tires. Factory-installed interior lighting. The triple headlights and dual red marker lights change ends with the direction of travel. The interior lighting also works in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The headlights on the motor car can be turned off separately at each end in digital operation. The control car has factory-installed interior lighting. At the control end of the car, there are triple headlights and dual red marker lights that change over with the direction of travel. Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting. A buffer capacitor is fitted. There is a current-conducting coupling drawbar with a guide mechanism between the rail bus units. A current-conducting coupling drawbar and brake hoses are supplied. The windows on both vehicle units, as well as on the optional trailer car, provide a clear view through the operator’s stands and the passenger compartment.
